Frequently asked

What you should know

Answers to the most important questions about VetKonsil.

Does a second opinion replace a visit to my veterinarian?

No. VetKonsil complements in-person care with an independent professional assessment. A physical examination and acute care can only take place at a practice.

Which documents do you need from me?

All available findings are helpful: diagnoses, lab values, imaging (X-ray, ultrasound, CT/MRI), medication plans and a brief history. The more complete, the more robust the assessment.

How quickly will I get a response?

Usually within 24–48 hours after the documents are received in full. For urgent cases there is an express consult (6–8 hours, 20% surcharge).

How does an HD/ED assessment work?

The X-rays are taken per GRSK guidelines (at our TGZ Bremer Schweiz or by your local vet), submitted as DICOM and evaluated by me as an approved GRSK assessor. Details and prices are on the assessments page.

How is my data protected?

All documents are processed confidentially and in line with GDPR. Transfer is encrypted; only the treating specialist veterinarian has access.

How does payment work?

Single consults are paid securely online (credit card / SEPA). For professional clients and breeding clubs, billing by invoice is also possible.
